Atrium Health is set to open its new hospital in Cornelius, with an expected start date of summer 2025. The state-of-the-art Atrium Health Lake Norman will feature a range of services including intensive care, operating rooms, emergency department and maternity care.
The first phase of the project will encompass a 38-bed hospital spanning over 170,000 square feet and a medical office building covering 72,000 square feet. With employment opportunities for over 282 individuals, this $255 million venture is also expected to spur mixed-use development in the surrounding area according to reports from Charlotte Business Journal.
Located on approximately 36 acres out of their total ownership of nearly100 acres at Westmoreland Road and US Highway21,Atrium Health plans on collaborating with development partners for diverse usage options across the remaining land parcel.
In addition to this initial phase,Atrium has future plans for expansion which includes another medical office building as well as an additional wing for the hospital.The opening date announcement was made by Atrium Health itself without any mention or reference towards Connect CRE or its associated brands such as Connect LA or Connect Texas.
