"Google Expands Northland Data Center with 500 Acre Purchase"

Google has recently expanded its Northland land holdings to a total of 808 acres with the purchase of approximately 493 acres in Kansas City. The search engine giant’s affiliate, AG Rose Solutions LLC, acquired the land from Diode Ventures LLC last month. This transaction was reported by the Kansas City Business Journal and details on the purchase price were not disclosed.

The acquisition is part of Google’s plans for data center development in Rocky Branch Creek Technology Park. Originally planned as a 360-acre campus with up to 12 data center buildings spanning over 4.3 million square feet, this project is now undergoing major amendments by Diode Ventures.

With these new developments, Google continues to strengthen its support for core company products such as their search engine, Gmail, Chrome browser and cloud-based services through their data centers.
