Seattle-based Avatar Financial Group LLC, a hard money bridge lender specializing in commercial real estate, has appointed Jeffrey Weingart as Senior Vice President of Originations. In this role, Weingart will be responsible for underwriting and originating commercial real estate loans, developing new business opportunities and expanding the company’s national presence.
With over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, Weingart has successfully underwritten transactions worth $6 billion. This includes more than $1.1 billion in bridge and permanent loans on behalf of various capital sources. He is highly skilled at managing different risk profiles across all types of real estate assets such as distressed properties, transitional projects and stabilized developments. Based out of Boston, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.
Prior to joining Avatar Financial Group LLC., Weingart served as Senior Vice President for A10 Capital where he was responsible for both originations and underwriting activities nationwide. He also held similar senior-level positions at The Bancorp – a specialized lender -and UC Funds- a national balance sheet lender.
