Boston Affordable Housing: Historic Building Transformation

The historic Our Lady’s Guild House, located at 20 Charlesgate West in Boston, has been sold for $14 million to the Planning Office for Urban Affairs and Fenway Community Development Corporation. The 58,320-square-foot building in Kenmore Square will undergo a significant renovation to provide permanent affordable housing. Since its establishment in 1947, Our Lady’s Guild House has served as a residence for women and this sale aims to preserve its legacy of offering affordable housing while also maintaining its historical significance.

Colliers’ Jeanne Pinado facilitated the transaction and expressed her excitement about being involved in a project that provides much-needed affordable homes to the Boston community. She also commended the mission of the Planning Office for Urban Affairs which focuses on promoting social justice through housing development and neighborhood revitalization.

This transformation of a Boston landmark into an affordable housing option is set to benefit both residents and future generations alike.
