Sterling Realty Organization (SRO) has announced that Zoom Communications, Inc. has signed a lease for 19,805 square feet of office space in the recently renovated Symetra Center building in downtown Bellevue.
The new location, situated at the intersection of NE 8th St and 108th Ave NE, will be Zoom’s first office in the Seattle area. According to SRO Vice President and Chief Investment Officer Whit Hamlin, this lease is just one example of their successful efforts to attract top-tier tenants after investing heavily into revamping the lobby and exterior plazas.
SRO completed extensive renovations on the ground level of this 25-story office building earlier this year. “Since completing these updates in September 2024,” said Hamlin, “we have secured over 47,785 square feet through new leases alone – bringing our occupancy rate up to an impressive 96 percent.”
Zoom’s Head of Real Estate and Workplace Alana Collins explained that they chose Seattle as their newest location due to its rich history of innovation and significant role in advancing AI technology.
