Zachary Marks has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and Head of Real Estate Development at Enterprise Community Development (ECD), a non-profit organization that specializes in affordable housing in the Mid-Atlantic region. ECD is an affiliate of Enterprise Community Partners.
Marks brings over 18 years of experience in real estate development to his new role at ECD. He has successfully led projects across major markets in the United States, including breaking ground on Maryland’s first Passive House and Zero Net Energy multifamily rental developments. Prior to joining ECD, he served as Senior Vice President of Real Estate for the Housing Opportunities Commission and was also a partner at Wood Partners.
Throughout his career, Marks has overseen $2.3 billion worth of mixed-income and affordable housing transactions, which includes managing entitlements, design work, financing efforts for $625 million worth renovation projects; overseeing construction efforts totaling $1.25 billion; acquiring properties valued at $440 million; and reacquiring 1,664 units through LIHTC limited partner interests.
