JLL has been hired by X Corp. to list their excess space at their San Francisco headquarters for sublease, according to the San Francisco Business Times. The listing does not include the entire 463,000-square-foot space at 1355 Market St., as confirmed by JLL’s West Coast marketing head, Alex Sierra on Friday. Additionally, JLL has also been tasked with listing X Corp.’s former offices of 330,000 square feet at 1 10th St.
A source familiar with the situation revealed that X Corp. is currently seeking to sublease approximately 210,000 square feet on the fifth through seventh floors of their headquarters located at1355 Market St., as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.
In a move that sparked a trend among tech employers in early and mid-2010s ,X Corp., formerly known as Twitter relocated its headquarters to1355 Market in2012.More recently,XCorp.was taken private in a $44-billion deal ledby billionaire Elon Musk who then implemented significant layoffs and voluntary departures.
