Washington State University recently held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Schweitzer Engineering Hall, an advanced educational facility. The 60,000-square-foot building will be constructed on an existing parking lot south of Carpenter Hall on WSU’s Pullman campus.
The university has chosen a team consisting of general contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis and architect ZGF to oversee the construction project. ZGF is a well-respected architecture firm with seven offices throughout North America, specializing in sustainable buildings in the Pacific Northwest. Meanwhile, Lease Crutcher Lewis is known for their expertise in utilizing cutting-edge green building technologies and engineering.
This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, providing students with modern learning spaces that support research and collaboration. It will feature versatile classrooms as well as designated areas for student clubs and activities.
