Treenail Development Breaks Ground on $340M Town1 Mixed-Use Project in Huntersville

Treenail Development has officially broken ground on Town1, a major $340 million mixed-use development in Huntersville, North Carolina. Designed to transform a 54-acre site, the project will integrate residential, commercial, and industrial components, with completion expected in 2028.

According to reports, Town1 will feature more than 700 residential units alongside 75,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and neighborhood services. Additionally, a five-story, 120,000-square-foot office building will be developed on-site.

The development also includes a planned 17-acre business park located at the northern end of the property. The business park is set to feature shallow-bay flex industrial space, supporting a variety of commercial tenants.

Town1’s residential offerings will span three distinct product types: 327 urban flat apartments, 305 garden-style apartments, and 70 townhomes. Blackburn Communities is taking the lead on the Junction at Town1, which comprises the townhomes and garden-style apartments.

Complementing the residential and office spaces, the retail section will offer pads suitable for a brewery, cantina, and medical offices, along with additional restaurant and neighborhood-service uses aimed at creating a vibrant, live-work-play environment.

The project is positioned to serve as a new hub for residential and commercial growth in the Huntersville area.
