The Scotch Plains Township Council has voted to designate Woodmont Properties as the conditional redeveloper of a nine-acre land in downtown New Jersey. The Township Council and Woodmont Properties will collaborate on a Redevelopment Agreement over the next 120 days to finalize details of the project, which includes a maximum building height of four stories, ample parking, and new public spaces for enhancing village green.
Mayor Josh Losardo expressed his enthusiasm about this historic moment for Scotch Plains: “This Township Council and Administration have been focused on making redevelopment reality for our downtown. We have worked collaboratively with community members to push this project across the goal – it is truly an accomplishment we can be proud of.”
