The latest one-million-square-foot speculative development at Wonderful Industrial Park in Shafter has reached major construction milestones, with walls now up and panels tilting since October. The project, located at 5104 Express Ave., broke ground in May and is expected to be completed by early April 2024.
According to Tracy Burns-Lusich, director of capital projects at The Wonderful Company, the quick pace of the development puts it on track for timely completion. Spanning over 74 acres, the site will feature nearly 1.09 million square feet of space with ample parking including 455 auto spaces and 939 trailer stalls. Cushman & Wakefield’s Phil Lombardo, Andrew Starnes and Cruise Adams are representing the project while pre-leasing is already underway.
Jason Gremillion, SVP of Development at Wonderful Real Estate stated that along with this spec build there are other upcoming projects that will enhance transportation access to and from the park. This progress marks a significant milestone for Wonderful Industrial Park’s growth without mentioning any specific location names such as “Connect” or “Connect LA” or “Connect Texas”.
