**WNC & Associates and KG Development Acquire Historic Milwaukee Site for Affordable Housing**
WNC & Associates and KG Development Group have announced the acquisition and planned renovation of Phoenix Residential, located at 2436 N. 50th Street in Milwaukee’s Uptown neighborhood. The site, formerly known as the Milwaukee Jewish Home for the Aged, is a four-story building originally constructed in 1929 and renovated in 1949. It is currently listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places.
The redevelopment plan includes the transformation of the historic property into a 21-unit affordable multifamily housing community, as well as a 20-bed rehabilitation facility. This initiative aims to address the growing need for affordable housing in the Uptown neighborhood while preserving the building’s historical significance.

Renovations are expected to be completed in 2026.
