Continental Properties, a developer headquartered in Wisconsin, has partnered with the owners of Deerbrook Shopping Center to construct a 354-unit apartment building. According to Crain’s report, the site was initially developed by an affiliate of Deutsche Bank and Reva Development Partners. In 2019, plans were approved for a housing complex on the 10.7-acre parcel but four years later Duetche and Reva went their separate ways.
Now Continental Properties and DWS are proposing a slightly modified version of “Springs at Deerfield” complex which will require approval from the village of Deerfield for an amendment to the previously approved plan. The proposed Springs at Deerfield will offer various unit sizes ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. Continental Properties has been expanding its “Springs” brand including recently completing a 320-unit community in Wisconsin.
