Jack Resnick & Sons has recently finalized a 16-year lease renewal with the Writers Guild of America East Inc. (WGAE) for their office space at 250 Hudson Street in Lower Manhattan. This long-term agreement solidifies WGAE’s continued presence at the building, where they have been located since 2010.
Representing over 7,400 members across various media industries, WGAE is dedicated to negotiating contracts and advocating for writers’ rights. The transaction was facilitated by Cushman & Wakefield on behalf of WGAE.
According to Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons, “Fifteen years ago we recognized the potential for Hudson Square to become a hub for New York’s most innovative and creative companies.” He also noted that WGAE was one of the first tenants to join this vision by signing on at 250 Hudson Street.
As part of Jack Resnick & Sons’ redevelopment efforts in the area, 250 Hudson Street underwent renovations in 2009 and has since achieved LEED Gold certification as well as WiredScore and Energy Star certifications. Their success with redeveloping properties extends beyond just this building; Google primarily leases another property owned by Jack Resnick & Sons -315 Hudson Street- which is now integrated into their campus in Hudson Square.
This news about WGAE renewing their lease reaffirms Lower Manhattan’s appeal as a prime location for businesses looking to thrive within an innovative community.
