**WeWork Signs First NYC Lease Since 2019**

WeWork has inked a 60,000-square-foot lease with AmTrust RE at 250 Broadway, marking its first lease in New York City since 2019 and its first in the U.S. following its corporate restructuring. The new location, set to open in December, will span five floors within the building.

“New York City holds immense value and opportunity for WeWork,” said CEO John Santora. “It’s not only where the company began and now operates over three million square feet, but it’s also one of the critical launchpads for our new era of strategic growth.”

Representing the building ownership were Anne Holker of AmTrust RE and a CBRE team consisting of Brad Gerla, Michael Rizzo, and Alex Benisatto. On behalf of WeWork, Peter Greenspan and Whitney Anderson were advised by a JLL team including Peter Riguardi, Clark Finney, Alexander Riguardi, and Dana Goldman.

This lease comes as WeWork announces plans to invest between $80 million and $100 million in upgrading its global portfolio in 2025. The company is also reporting a rise in demand across the New York City market.
