Weston Urban has officially begun construction on The Continental Block, a revitalization project in San Antonio. This district will include the restoration of The Continental Hotel building at 332 West Commerce St., as well as several historic homes on the property. Additionally, a new 16-story affordable apartment tower will be built to provide housing for residents.
The development is set to be completed by 2025 and will offer a total of 318 apartment units between the tower and upper floors of the hotel building. According to reports from the San Antonio Business Journal, retail space will occupy the ground floor of the former hotel while office and retail spaces are planned for other buildings such as Arana and De La Garza House.
Weston Urban was founded in 2012 with a mission to attract and retain young talent in San Antonio through revitalizing its city center. With expertise in development, leasing, and lending services, Weston Urban has played an integral role in shaping San Antonio’s skyline through both historic renovations and new construction projects.
This latest project marks another step towards fulfilling their vision for downtown San Antonio’s future growth.
