Rivian recently launched its second store in the Chicago area, located at Westfield Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. The 3,500-square-foot space is situated within the 1.5 million-square-foot mall and showcases Rivian’s flagship electric vehicles. This new location joins their existing Gold Coast store, spanning over 5,160 square feet and featuring cars produced at their cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
With this addition to its retail portfolio, Rivian now has a total of 15 Spaces across the United States and Canada. These showrooms offer customers an opportunity to experience Rivian products firsthand and view displays of the materials used in their models.
Earlier this year, Rivian was granted an $827-million incentive package from the State of Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity for expanding operations at its Normal plant. These funds will be utilized for enlarging production facilities as well as enhancing public infrastructure and providing job training programs for employees ahead of R2 production – their highly anticipated midsized SUV model.
