The Skokie Westfield Old Orchard Mall is undergoing renovations and will soon welcome three new retailers to a previously vacant space. The former Lord & Taylor department store at Westfield Old Orchard has been transformed into a hub for artisan-crafted, sustainably sourced home furnishings by Arhaus, high-tech mini golf experience Puttshack, and popular fashion brand ZARA.
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), the European commercial real estate company leading this project, has revealed their plans to revitalize the Chicago North Shore center with multiple phases of development. These plans aim to elevate the customer experience through new residences, dining options, wellness facilities and outdoor amenities. Construction is set to begin in 2024 with phased openings starting in 2026.
Skokie Mayor George Van Dusen expressed excitement about this redevelopment as it will not only enhance experiences for residents and visitors but also serve as an economic driver for the community.
