“Westchester’s Formerly Vacant Gasho of Japan to Transform into an Event Venue”

"Westchester's Formerly Vacant Gasho of Japan to Transform into an Event Venue"

The old Gasho of Japan space on Saw Mill River Road in Hawthorne, NY has finally found a new owner after sitting vacant for six years. Entrepreneur Michael Pasqualini has taken over the 2.8-acre estate and is embarking on a multi-million-dollar renovation and expansion project.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held recently with more than 100 guests in attendance, including Town of Mt. Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi. The event marked the beginning of construction for Le Setai, an upscale event space set to open in fall 2025.

Spanning nearly 13,000 square feet, Le Setai will feature a Grand Ballroom with a stunning skylight above the dance floor. Additionally, there will be unique features such as a glass walking bridge and an outdoor ceremony platform complete with gazebo.

Despite undergoing major renovations and updates to modernize its facilities, one aspect that will remain unchanged is the top peak of the old Gasho’s original samurai farmhouse from the 16th century – though it will receive some much-needed improvements as well.

According to Pasqualini: “Our aim is to transform this beloved local property into one of Tri-State’s premier wedding and special events destinations.”
