Local and state elected officials, influential members of the community, and leaders from Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) recently came together to mark the beginning of construction for the Critical Care Tower at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. This $220-million project will cover 162,000 square feet and stand five stories tall upon completion.
Located next to Westchester Medical Center’s main tower, the Critical Care Tower will provide 128 private patient rooms equipped with cutting-edge medical technology for intensive care. It will also allow for all inpatient services at Westchester Medical Center to be converted into private rooms, improving patient privacy and comfort.
“Advanced care is a cornerstone service at Westchester Medical Center and as we break ground on the Critical Care Tower,” stated Michael D. Israel – President & CEO of WMCHealth – “we reaffirm our enduring legacy as the undisputed leader in advanced care within our region.”
