Wells Fargo Closing Up to 7 Texas Retail Banking Locations

E-banking has revolutionized the way banks do business. Recently, four retail banking centers in DFW have closed their doors. In the Houston metro area, Wells Fargo is soon to shut down a total of seven branches. Three closures will take place in Houston while others will be closed in Sugar Land, Stafford, Pasadena and Tomball.

Wells Fargo has declared this move as a consolidation and plans to halt any future closures for now; instead opting to upgrade its current locations with renovations and redesigns that cater towards digital transactions done on mobile devices as well as guidance and advice centers rather than places for basic banking transactions alone. A company spokesman told the Houston Business Journal that “with all that can be done digitally and on mobile” these changes are necessary for success moving forward .
