Waterton, a national real estate investor and operator, has appointed Matt Porath as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Porath brings more than 15 years of experience in investor relations, housing research and wealth management to the Chicago-based company.
In his new role at Waterton he will be responsible for developing relationships with prospective investors across the eastern U.S., Canada and Europe/Middle East while leading multifamily fundraising strategies in those regions. Previously he was Managing Director of Investor Relations at Citymark Capital where he coordinated fundraising efforts with existing and potential investors for private equity real estate funds. Prior to that position Porath worked for Zelman & Associates managing client relationships including domestic/international hedge funds mutual funds pension funds private equity firms quantitative fund managers etc..
