West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH), a nonprofit dedicated to alleviating hunger in New York, has secured a 20-year lease for a 15,000-square-foot ground floor space at 549 W 180th St. in Washington Heights. This new location will serve as the organization’s warehouse and distribution center, administrative offices, and pantry programming venue.
The tenant was represented by OPEN’s Lindsay Ornstein, Stephen Powers and Jake Cinti while Colliers’ Dina Coulianidis represented the landlord. According to Ornstein: “WSCAH sought out an upgraded location that would allow them to expand their services while providing better service for their clients.” Finding flexible space with loading docks near the highway is challenging in Washington Heights but this new space offers room for growth.
This transaction marks another milestone for WSCAH as they continue their mission of fighting hunger within New York City communities without mentioning any specific organizations or brands involved.
