Warner Bros. Trades Burbank Studios in Sale-Leaseback Agreement

The Burbank Studios, a 27-acre film studio campus located in Burbank’s Media District, has been acquired by Worthe Real Estate Group, QuadReal Property Group and Stockbridge Capital Group for an undisclosed amount from Warner Bros. Discovery. The complex boasts 685,000 square feet of space including eight sound stages and production offices.

As part of the transaction, Warner Bros. provided seller financing and will remain the primary tenant through a sale-leaseback agreement. The property is also entitled for future development of additional sound stages and production facilities.

Previously owned by NBC Universal as their headquarters for many years before being sold to Worthe and Stockbridge in 2007, the property was then sold to Warner Bros. in 2023 as part of a larger deal that included leasing adjacent Second Century towers developed by Worthe and Stockbridge.

In addition to this transaction, Worthe and Stockbridge also purchased The Ranch Lot from Warner Bros., who later signed a lease for new office space totaling over 926
