Worthe Real Estate Group and Stockbridge, a San Francisco-based investment firm, have secured $480 million in financing for the construction of the largest sound stage development in the United States. The 926,000-square-foot studio campus will feature 16 sound stages and additional amenities such as a parking structure, commissary, mill space, and a 326,000-square-foot office complex. This project is located on a former Warner Bros. Ranch Lot spanning over 30 acres in Burbank.
The financing marks another milestone in Worthe Real Estate’s longstanding partnership with Warner Bros., which also includes their recent completion of Second Century at Burbank Studios – an expansion project totaling 800 square feet.
This redevelopment effort is part of an agreement made between Worthe Real Estate Group ,Warner Bros.,and Stockbridge back in 2019. Under this agreement,Warner Bros.will occupy most of the property (35 acres) at Burbank Studios and expand into Second Century development to accommodate approximately4 ,500 employees from their company.
