Walmart Inc. has taken over a 56,000-square-foot lease in Bellevue’s Skyline Tower that was previously held by Amazon. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Kilroy Realty Corp., the owner of the 24-story building, reported this departure in their earnings report last month.
The outlet cited CoStar data and stated that Walmart is now leasing a total of 98,000 square feet across five floors (sixth through eighth and twelfth through thirteenth) in Skyline Tower.
Last year, Amazon announced its plans to downsize its presence in Seattle and move out of an office building located at Denny Triangle. The company also relocated some employees after choosing not to renew their lease at West 8th tower in Seattle. An Amazon spokesperson stated that they regularly assess their corporate office needs for optimal support for their businesses, employees and customers.
