Construction has officially begun on a new nursing facility in Shoreline, Washington. Developed by Anchor Health Properties, the three-story building will feature 120 beds and cover over 127,000 square feet. This project is made possible through a partnership with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, with Anchor providing their expertise in development services and real estate planning.
“We are excited to collaborate with the Department of Social and Health Services and Public Facilities Group to revitalize the Fircrest Nursing Facility,” said Sean Miller, Senior Vice President of Development at Anchor.
In addition to constructing the nursing facility itself, this project also includes upgrades to campus infrastructure as well as a separate laundry facility spanning 6,400 square feet. The new nursing home is expected to open its doors in November 2027. It will be designed for net-zero energy consumption capabilities and aims for LEED Silver certification for its environmentally friendly design practices.
This groundbreaking marks an important step towards improving healthcare facilities in Washington state while also prioritizing sustainability efforts.
