Vornado Realty Trust has successfully secured a significant new lease with Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P. at PENN 1, their recently redeveloped office tower located above New York Penn Station. The accounting and consulting firm, currently occupying 8,000 square feet on a portion of the 32nd floor, will now expand to occupy the entire 28th floor for a total of 36,500 square feet.
Weaver is nationally recognized for providing audit, tax and advisory services. By consolidating its entire New York City workforce into PENN1 – including employees previously located at their Fifth Avenue location – they have solidified their commitment to this prime location.
According to Vornado EVP Glen Weiss: “We are thrilled that Weaver has chosen PENN1 as its new home in New York City. This decision further validates our successful redevelopment efforts in THE PENN DISTRICT.” He goes on to explain how companies like Weaver are drawn to collaborative and innovative work environments such as those offered by Vornado’s redeveloped property.
The deal was brokered by Neil Goldmacher and Michael Horn from Newmark representing Weaver while Josh Glick , Jared Silverman ,and Anthony Cugini represented Vornado in-house.
