Vineyard Park Senior Living has acquired a senior housing community in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, adding to the operator’s regional footprint in the Puget Sound area. The community, which has been operating under the Truewood First Hill name, will be repositioned and reintroduced as Union Grand, a Vineyard Park community.
The acquisition represents a continuation of Vineyard Park Senior Living’s expansion strategy in the broader Puget Sound region. By bringing the property under the Union Grand brand, the company is aligning the community with its existing portfolio standards and operating platform while maintaining continuity for residents and staff.
Shawn Tacey, CEO of Vineyard Park Senior Living, said the company views the First Hill location as a critical neighborhood within the city. He noted that with Union Grand, Vineyard Park Senior Living is extending its model of personalized care and community-focused living to an area that plays an important role in the local urban fabric.
The property benefits from a location in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, a district known for its proximity to major healthcare institutions, transit options, and a range of walkable amenities. These characteristics position the community to serve seniors seeking aging-in-place options that allow them to remain connected to medical services and daily conveniences within a dense urban environment.
Vineyard Park Senior Living emphasized that the transition from Truewood First Hill to Union Grand is not expected to disrupt day-to-day operations. Care and services for existing residents are set to continue uninterrupted as the company works closely with on-site teams during the changeover. The focus is on maintaining stability for residents and staff while implementing the new branding and integrating the community into Vineyard Park’s systems.
Based on Mercer Island, Vineyard Park Senior Living is a family-founded operator with a portfolio of 34 senior living communities across Washington and Arizona. The First Hill acquisition and Union Grand rebranding add another location to this network of communities in the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest, further consolidating the company’s presence in markets it already serves.
Details such as transaction pricing, unit count, and property size were not disclosed, but the acquisition underscores Vineyard Park Senior Living’s commitment to expanding its regional platform while maintaining continuity of care at the community level.
