**Vestar Unveils Plans for Massive Mixed-Use Development in Mesa**
Retail developer Vestar has announced plans for a major new mixed-use development, Legacy Park, in southeast Mesa, Arizona. Spanning 200 acres, the project is strategically located near the Mesa Gateway Airport, the Arizona Athletic Grounds, and Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus.
Legacy Park is designed as a comprehensive “urban oasis” and will feature:
– A 20-acre urban park with extensive trail systems and a large, man-made lake
– Approximately 300,000 square feet of upscale retail and restaurant space
– 2,400 multifamily residential units
– A 600-room resort hotel
– 3.4 million square feet of mid-rise office and corporate campus space
Vestar, along with property owner Pacific Proving LLC, envisions the project as a vibrant new hub for the rapidly growing communities of Mesa, Gilbert, and Queen Creek. The development is set to serve both current and future residents, with a strong emphasis on lifestyle, accessibility, and economic opportunity.
Over the next two years, Vestar will collaborate closely with the City of Mesa and assemble the full development team to bring Legacy Park to life.
