Fashion brand Veronica Beard has recommitted to its headquarters at 26 W. 17th St. in Manhattan, signing a renewal and expansion that will bring its total footprint in the building to approximately 60,000 square feet. The agreement grows the company’s presence by about 15,000 square feet and consolidates its offices across multiple full floors.
Under the new lease, Veronica Beard will occupy the entire second, third, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth floors at 26 W. 17th St. The expanded footprint is intended to support the brand’s headquarters functions within a single building, creating a larger contiguous presence for its corporate operations.
Ownership of 26 W. 17th St. was represented in the transaction by a CBRE leasing team. David Stockel and Taylor Walker of CBRE led the campaign on behalf of the landlord, The Winter Organization, and handled negotiations for the renewal and expansion.
On the tenant side, Veronica Beard was represented by a JLL team. TJ Hochanadel and Rob Martin of JLL advised the fashion brand through the lease process, coordinating the expansion of its headquarters space within the property.
Participants in the transaction noted that Veronica Beard’s decision to both renew and expand its commitment at 26 W. 17th St. reflects confidence in the building’s location and in the company’s trajectory. The deal was also characterized as evidence of continued interest from established tenants seeking office environments that can foster collaboration, reinforce company culture and accommodate business growth.
The transaction at 26 W. 17th St. illustrates how some office users are choosing to grow within existing, familiar buildings rather than relocating, particularly when ownership and leasing teams can provide space configurations that align with evolving workplace needs.
