### Walker & Dunlop Secures $22M for Affordable Housing Development in San Antonio

Walker & Dunlop has successfully arranged $22 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity for the construction of Commons at Acequia Trails, a permanent supportive housing development in the San Antonio metro area.

The Walker & Dunlop Affordable Equity team, led by Blair Holden, facilitated the 4% LIHTC new construction equity syndication on behalf of The Vecino Group. Other key partners in the project include SAMMinistries, San Antonio Housing Trust, the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and Opportunity Home San Antonio.

Commons at Acequia Trails is designed to provide housing for individuals who are at risk of or transitioning out of homelessness. Units will be available to residents earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income. Additionally, 80 units will receive support through a 15-year Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) contract.

The development will consist of 201 permanent supportive housing units, including 132 efficiency units and 69 one-bedroom units. Residents will also have access to amenities such as a community room with a kitchen and pantry, a business center, and a fitness room.
