Vaxcyte, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has signed a 10-year lease with Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. for 258,581 square feet of space at the Alexandria Center for Life Science – San Carlos mega-campus located at 825 Industrial Rd. The lease includes both new space and an extension of their existing lease term.
Since its opening in 2021, Vaxcyte has been a key tenant at the Alexandria Center for Life Science – San Carlos. This state-of-the-art campus offers ample room for future growth and essential laboratory infrastructure in a prime location near Highway 101 with easy access to Caltrain as well as local shops and restaurants.
No brokers were involved on either side of the deal according to the REIT. As of September 30th, the occupancy rate at Alexandria Center for Life Science – San Carlos is currently at an impressive level of over97%, leaving approximately1.4 million square feet availablefor potential development opportunities.
