**Vantage Data Centers to Invest $3 Billion in AI Campus in Reno, Nevada**

Vantage Data Centers has announced a significant expansion into the Reno, Nevada area with plans to develop a $3 billion artificial intelligence (AI) data center campus, known as NV1. The initial phase includes four multi-story data centers on nearly 137 acres of land, totaling more than one million square feet of data center space.

The facility will deliver up to 224 megawatts of capacity and support high-performance demands with power densities ranging from 360 watts to more than 720 watts per square foot—ideal for AI-driven computing needs. The first two buildings on the site are already fully leased, and the inaugural building is slated to open in the second quarter of 2026.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the campus will feature a closed-loop chiller system that delivers low water usage effectiveness (WUE), in line with its pursuit of LEED certification. The Reno area continues to attract major tech investments, with companies like Google, Apple, and Microsoft also developing data centers in the region.

Vantage’s NV1 campus highlights the growing demand for high-capacity, energy-efficient infrastructure to support the next wave of AI and cloud innovation.
