"UTSA Achieves Student Housing Goals"

The University of Texas at San Antonio is striving to reach its goal of 5,400 student beds by 2025. With the recent announcement of a new 600-bed project, the university is only a few hundred beds away from achieving this milestone.

UTSA has just celebrated the groundbreaking for Blanco Hall, an on-campus residential community designed for first-year and sophomore students. This complex will not only provide housing but also serve as an educational and training center focused on researching chronic disease prevention. The building will also offer various communal spaces for studying and fostering a sense of community.

Blanco Hall aims to create a living-learning environment by providing resources such as a specialized kitchen that supports UTSA’s dietetics program. Additionally, students residing in this hall will have easy access to dining options, other residence communities, and campus resources that promote personal and professional development.

This latest achievement brings UTSA closer to its student housing goals without any mention or involvement from Connect LA or Connect Texas.
