Upgrade Coming to Scottsdale Hotel: Get Ready for a Serious Transformation

Andre Golnazarian, a Phoenix-area property redeveloper, is bringing big changes to the two buildings at 7300 N. Pima that were previously used by Scottsdale to house the homeless. In 2021, he purchased the space for $6 million and plans to invest upwards of $20 million into it – including demolition of one building and construction of a larger one across Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The George Hotel will have 84 rooms; 50 brand new and 34 renovated from the remaining building with amenities such as a fitness studio, outdoor cafe, pool improvements and enhanced parking facilities designed by Fors Architecture + Interiors. The City has relocated residents into similar housing elsewhere in preparation for this major upgrade project which promises an exciting future for Scottsdale’s hospitality industry!
