Whale & Star Wynwood is in the process of developing a mixed-use development at 2215 NW 1st Place. The project will consist of an eight-story building that spans half a city block and features various amenities such as a new 214-key hotel called The Cloud One Hotel, residential units, retail spaces, and a rooftop bar and restaurant.
The residential units will be located on levels six to eight while The Cloud One Hotel’s rooms will occupy floors three to five. Residents of the condos will have access to services provided by The Cloud One Hotel. Additionally, the rooftop area will include a pool along with the restaurant and bar.
The current property on site includes commercial buildings spanning over 27,000 square feet which are set to be demolished as part of this proposal. Whale & Star Wynwood Owner LLC purchased this property for $24 million in 2023.
The design for this project is being developed through collaboration between New York-based HWKN and Miami-based ODP Architects.
Whale & Star Wynwood Owner LLC is made up of German hospitality group Motel One , Ralf Buschl from Buschl Group, and Sebastian Ludke from ALP.X Group who have come together in partnership for this venture.
