The developers behind the highly acclaimed Bandon Dunes golf courses in Oregon have announced their plans to open a new golf resort in East Texas. The upcoming Wild Spring Dunes will be situated in Nacogdoches, the oldest city in the state with convenient access to both Dallas and Houston.
According to Dream Golf, Wild Spring Dunes will be a premier public golf resort and community offering top-notch amenities such as world-class golf courses, luxurious accommodations, homesites for sale and exceptional dining options. Two course layouts have already been finalized while additional plans are underway for a short course and practice center.
Renowned designer Tom Doak has been selected to construct one of two 18-hole courses at Wild Spring Dunes. Meanwhile, Bill Coore along with Austin native Ben Crenshaw – recognized as one of the best design duos in history – have designed another course on site.
Construction on Doak’s course is scheduled to commence during Fall 2024 with an anticipated opening date set for 2026.
