The Sugar Land Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the Pearl, a five-story 370 unit multifamily residential development that will include office space and a dog park at Lake Pointe Town Center. The 6.5 acre project will feature single and two-bedroom units as well as 9,600 square feet of flexible co-working office space, 4,425 square feet of meeting space, 12,000 square feet for a leasing office with fitness center gaming area cafe/coffee shop on the ground floor plus five “live-work units”. Although members were hoping for some retail options to be included in the project before it is presented to Sugar Land City Council by developer Morgan Group (who also owns 18 other Pearl projects including locations in Downtown Houston Midtown Houston Greenway River Oaks), they have yet to be confirmed.
