Champion Real Estate Company has recently acquired Salisbury Campus Apartments, a five-building student housing community located near Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The property, which includes 85 units and 290 beds, will now be known as Victory on Salisbury under Champion’s ownership. This acquisition adds to Champion’s portfolio of 15 student housing communities across eight universities with over 4,300 beds.
JLL broker Scott Clifton represented both the buyer and seller in this transaction. Upon the expiration of the current master lease with Purdue University in 2025, renovations by Champion subsidiary Champion Salisbury LLC will commence.
According to Executive Vice President Garrett Champion of Champion Real Estate Company: “Student housing communities that cater to top-tier educational institutions like Purdue University are experiencing high occupancy rates and strong demand.” He also stated that their company plans to strategically acquire more properties at leading universities where there is limited supply and favorable market conditions.
The recent purchase by champion real estate marks another successful investment for their growing portfolio without mentioning any specific brand names or locations.
