Through MIPIM NY’’s Road to Zero initiative, industry leaders will focus on decarbonization within the office, residential, logistics, and hospitality sectors.

New York, NY., June 7, 2023MIPIM NY, a flagship program that will bring together key real estate industry leaders in New York to accelerate and empower change towards more sustainable, user-centric, and profitable real estate, announced a collaboration on specially curated sustainability-related topics and research in the real estate industry with the Urban Land Institute (ULI). This collaboration will bolster MIPIM NY’s commitment to sustainability and the “Road to Zero” event track, which includes diverse topics such as sustainable investments, carbon-neutral construction, asset management, refurbishment recycling, renewable energy, energy efficiency, building management, and mobility.

As announced in March, MIPIM NY’s focus has shifted beyond innovation and PropTech and will tackle the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities for real estate today. The event will bring together owners, occupiers, developers, investors, political leaders, and technology companies to discuss topics surrounding net zero, affordable housing, retrofitting and repurposing offices, conversions and ESG investment, among others. The event will feature keynotes, panels, roundtables, and exclusive closed-door summits, fostering in-depth discussions and knowledge exchange.

Marta Schantz, Co-Executive Director of ULI Randall Lewis Center for Sustainability in Real Estate, said, “ULI has a global net zero mission priority to decarbonize the built environment by 2050 – and we need the entire industry on board to bring that to fruition. MIPIM NY’s expanded focus on the Road to Zero will enable leading real estate professionals to understand how sustainability supports the bottom line and brings a competitive advantage to their business.”

Lauriane Halle, MIPIM NY Director, said, “After a successful collaboration with ULI at MIPIM in Cannes that called on industry leaders to accelerate decarbonization within the industry through the ‘Road to Zero’ initiative, I am delighted that we will be able to further elevate our partnership in New York. We look forward to bringing the same candor, connections, and knowledge-sharing best practices to our first event in the United States.”

MIPIM NY, the flagship event of NYC Real Estate Tech Week, will be held from November 29- 30, 2023 at the Javits Center in New York, NY. The conference is part of a wider family of events, including MIPIM Asia which takes place each December in Hong Kong, and the flagship MIPIM, which takes place every year in mid-March in Cannes, France.
