**CCI Secures $67M Construction Loan for Mixed-Use Redevelopment at UGA**
CCI Real Estate has secured a $67 million construction loan to support the redevelopment of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) building on the campus of the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens. The project, known as 290 Lumpkin, is being developed in partnership with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board (GBMB) and will feature a dynamic mix of residential, retail, and community spaces in a prime campus location.
Affinius Capital has been selected to provide the construction financing for the development.
The eight-story project will feature 243 one- and two-bedroom apartments, totaling 353 beds, along with a 356-space parking garage. Additional amenities include a rooftop deck, student lounge, offices, and modern ministry and conference facilities able to host over 500 people. Street-level plans call for a coffeehouse, fitness center, and a variety of retail establishments to serve both students and the broader Athens community.
Construction has already begun on 290 Lumpkin, with an anticipated completion date in June 2027. CCI has named New South Construction as the general contractor for the development.
