U-Haul has recently acquired a prime construction site in San Antonio’s Ingram Park area to develop a state-of-the-art self-storage facility. This three-story building will offer 750 climate-controlled units, ranging from 25-300 square feet, making it the company’s 16th property in the city. The project is expected to be completed by 2026.
Located at 7616 N.W. Loop 410 and just thirteen miles from downtown San Antonio, this new facility will span over eleven acres of land. Along with top-notch storage solutions, U-Haul also plans to provide additional amenities such as towing equipment, moving supplies and boxes, RV and vehicle storage options, hitch installation services,and online payment options.
According to Yardi Matrix data as of early February , there are currently fourteen self-storage properties under construction in the market which will add approximately1 .2 million square feet of inventory.The demand for these units has been on an upward trend nationally with rents increasing by13 %in2022 accordingtoa Forbes study.Additionally,the average return on investment for self-storage properties was20 .87% between2001-2023and18 .76%between2006 -2021 .
This latest development by U-Haul marks their continued expansion into the thriving San Antonio market without compromising on quality or convenience for their customers.
