In September 2023, Texas Woman’s University began construction on a new health sciences facility in Denton. The $107 million project will span 136,000 square feet and serve as an inter-professional education center for students in allied health fields. Its focus is on preparing students to work in rural settings.
The building will feature state-of-the-art labs, classrooms, collaborative workspaces, outdoor clinic sites, a teaching kitchen, community healthcare clinics and student training spaces. It is expected to be completed by summer of 2025 with an opening set for the fall of that year.
This new facility will greatly expand Texas Woman’s role in health-related programming and community outreach efforts.
