T&T Supermarket, Canada’s largest Asian grocery retailer, has announced plans to open its first Southern California store at the Canopy at Great Park in Irvine. Scheduled for a winter 2026 opening, the 34,000-square-foot flagship store will be part of a master-planned development near the Great Park Sports Complex. The project is being developed by Almquist.

In tandem with the store opening, T&T will also establish its U.S. head office in Brea as the retailer expands its footprint in the American market.

“We’re especially proud of our in-store bakery and kitchen – for the eight million annual visitors to the sports park nearby, T&T would be a great place to grab a meal,” said T&T CEO Tina Lee. “We hope to add to the community and offer a place for families to connect through food, discover traditional ingredients, and explore the latest culinary trends.”

This announcement follows closely on the heels of T&T’s recent plans to open a second California location at San Francisco City Center, developed by Acadia Realty Trust. That location is also expected to open in late 2025.

With its expansion into the United States, T&T is bringing its signature blend of fresh Asian products and culinary experiences to new markets, promising to become a valued destination for local communities.
