SL Green Realty Corp. has announced that The Travelers Insurance Company has renewed their lease for 122,788 square feet at 485 Lexington Ave in Midtown Manhattan. This renewal solidifies The Travelers Insurance Company as SL Green’s largest tenant at the property and they will continue to occupy a portion of the seventh floor and all of the eighth and ninth floors for an additional ten years. With this deal, SL Green’s total office leases signed year to date have reached 3,518,829 square feet.
Steven Durels, EVP and director of leasing and real property at SL Green stated: “We are pleased to extend our valued partnership with The Travelers Insurance Company.” He also noted that Midtown leasing activity remains strong compared to both five-year and ten-year averages.
JLL’s Robert Ageloff, Matt Astrachan,and Kate Roush represented The Travelers Insurance Company in negotiations while a JLL team consisting of Paul Glickman,Alex Chudnoff,Diana Biasotti Christine Colley,and Kristen Morgan represented the landlord.
