Pappas Properties is seeking to rezone a 98-acre plot of land in Mooresville, located near Lake Norman just north of Charlotte. The proposed development, called Mooresville Village, would include both residential and commercial components totaling up to 400,000 square feet.
The rezoning request has already received a recommendation for approval from the planning staff of Mooresville. If approved by the town’s officials, the project will be located at 1740 Mecklenburg Highway.
According to town documents, the development will be completed in four phases. The first phase will consist solely of residential units. The second and third phases are planned as mixed-use areas with multifamily housing and retail options such as grocery stores and banks. Finally, the fourth phase is intended for higher-intensity retail and office spaces with potential additions like hotels or more multifamily developments.
