"Town in Charlotte Area Contemplating 400K-SF Mixed-Use Development"

Pappas Properties is seeking to rezone a 98-acre parcel in Mooresville, located near Lake Norman just north of Charlotte. The proposed project, called Mooresville Village, would include residential homes and up to 400,000 square feet of commercial space. The town’s planning staff has already recommended approval for the rezoning request.

The development site at 1740 Mecklenburg Highway would be divided into four phases. The first phase will focus on residential uses while the second and third phases will feature a mix of multifamily housing and retail spaces including grocery stores and banks. In the final phase, there are plans for higher-intensity retail and office spaces as well as a potential hotel and more multifamily developments.

Overall, Pappas Properties hopes that this mixed-use project will bring new life to the area by providing both housing options for residents as well as convenient shopping opportunities through its various commercial elements.
