Torrington Properties Buy Durham Shopping Center for $9M

Torrington Properties has acquired the 10-acre Mill Road Plaza in Durham from Colonial Durham Associates for $8.8 million. Currently occupied by businesses including Hannaford, Allegiant Physical Therapy, Rite Aid and Domino’s Pizza, Torrington looks to attract new businesses to fill existing vacancies in the plaza.

Matt Morgan, Torrington’s Chief Operating Officer expressed excitement about this acquisition: “Mill Road Plaza is a welcome addition to our growing retail and commercial portfolio,” he said. “This is an important piece of our investment strategy in grocery-anchored shopping centers.”
