Torrington Acquires The Ridge Retail Center in Rochester, NH for $51.3M

Torrington has expanded its portfolio of retail properties with the acquisition of The Ridge, a 300,000-square-foot shopping center located in Rochester, New Hampshire. The company purchased the open-air retail plaza for $51.3 million from Waterstone Properties. The transaction was financed through Rockland Trust and Goedecke & Co.

The Ridge is home to approximately 30 national and regional tenants, including well-known brands such as Walmart, Market Basket, Marshalls, Hobby Lobby, Old Navy, and Ulta Beauty. The property also features a New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet, 110 Grill, Gentle Dental, and other specialty and service retailers.

“For us, this acquisition reflects confidence not only in the strength of the property itself, but in the continued growth and economic vitality of New Hampshire communities like Rochester, where quality retail and strong access come together,” said Jay Bisognano, principal and CEO of Torrington.

Strategically located, The Ridge attracts around 4.3 million visitors annually, with over 430,000 of those traveling from more than 10 miles away. With this purchase, Torrington strengthens its foothold in New Hampshire’s retail market, particularly among grocery-anchored centers.
